At the end of the 80s Bob Dylan started to build a new career. We may never know if this was intentional on his part, but in retrospect it sure looks like it. A new stripped-down touring band, concentrated short but varied sets, two new albums, a French Award, and successful residencies in New York and London all contributed to the new Bob Dylan image, a modern world-weary traveling blues-man, with a batch of new important songs to supplement his vast unparalleled back catalogue. |
